Based in Cumbernauld, Patak's Breads is a leading manufacturer of plain, flavoured and filled Naans and Chapattis(long life, fresh and frozen) to the UK’s major retailers. Our unique finger tables replicate the hand flattening technique used in India to create Naan bread which are hand finished to produce an authentic tear drop shape.

Since opening in 1995 Patak’s Breads has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers of Indian flat breads to the UK’s major retailers. Our Manufacturing plant produced a range of plain, flavoured and filled Naans and Chapattis (long life, fresh and frozen).
What we do
Today we employ 157 people and are committed to providing our customers with products and services which achieve consistent standards of quality, integrity and reliability. This is achieved as a result of teamwork and our dedication to continuous improvement, with each employee’s commitment to quality and the principle of “right first time, every time.
How we work
Our business operates a quality, ethical and leadership approach to all business activities and relationships. Our bakery uses a combination of automation and traditional hand-shaping to produce hundreds of thousand of naan breads per hour. The shaped breads are baked in a volcanic stone traveling oven. This technology is unique to Pataks and it’s as close as you get to a traditional tandoor oven.
The challenge
Working within a high volumes process environment producing for fresh daily deliveries, we focus on Quality, Operational Excellence, and Customer Services. We Operate 6 days a week - requiring leadership, teamwork and problem solving resulting in continuous improvement throughout the organisation by focusing on the needs of the customer, empowering employees, and optimising existing activities in the process to ensure low-cost operations.
